Ohio Health Plans – An Overview
Ohio residents have a wide variety of Ohio health plans available to choose from. Ohio not only has a large amount of Ohio health insurance plans available if the residents meet the required qualifications they also have lower insurance rates than a large number of other states. Here we will take a look at several of the Ohio health insurance plans available.
Ohio residents are lucky to have insurances that offer coverage to the state’s children who are without health insurance. One plan called the State Child Health Insurance Plan covers children who do not have health insurance. This plan also offers the option to cover the child and provide expanded benefits that they receive from the Ohio state Medicaid plan. In some cases the child will be covered by both insurances. In 1998 Ohio expanded its programs to include more benefits under the Medicaid Health Start program to offer better insurance to the state’s children. Children who are nineteen or younger and live in a home where the family is considered at 150% or below the federal poverty level will be eligible for this health plan in Ohio.
Medicaid health plans have also been expanded in the state of Ohio to reach out to families with children who do not quite fall under the federal poverty level of 150%. Those without health insurance, those who are elderly or disabled may also be eligible for an Ohio Medicaid health plan. In order to qualify for a health plan the person must be at least 65 years old, be classified by social security as having a disability, be legally blind or the person must meet some of the other requirements.
These types of plans provide insurance to those who are both old and young making the vitally important to many people. These Ohio health insurance plans have been one of the key things that has helped keep many of the residents of Ohio healthy and insured. This is important especially during these hard economic times. To find out if you or your child may be eligible for one of these Ohio health insurance plans you can use the internet. By searching online a person can find out what the basic requirements are in order to qualify and also how to apply.

Gracias Gabriel por la visita. En los Estados Unidos hay muchas personas que no tienen seguro de salud y no tienen acceso a él por los altos costos de las tarifas de los seguros. El gobierno de obama propone una alternativa: un seguro económico al que puedan acceder todos los norteamericanos. Esto no conviene a los seguros actuales porque los obligaría a rebajar sus tarifas sería una gran competencia.

Y por el financiamiento, si se ha financiado una guerra multi trillonaria por años, creo que sería un dinero mejor empleado en la salud de la gente. Y en México se pudiera hacer otro tanto, si el dinero no se quedara en el bolsillo gobernantes corruptos, que hemos tenido bastantes.
